The town of Serian, Sarawak, recently hosted the Sarawak TVET Carnival. This annual event, dedicated to showcasing the talents and skills of students in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), attracted participants from various institutions, each competing for the highest honors in their respective categories.

The highlight of the carnival was the highly anticipated competition, where participants demonstrated their technical skills in various fields. The competition was intense, and the results reflected the dedication and hard work of the students. Giovanni from ILPKS emerged as the champion, securing the first place with an outstanding performance. Fakhrul Ifwat, also from ILPKS, followed closely, taking the second place. The third place was won by KV Kuching, showcasing their strong capabilities. John Sylvester, another talented student from ILPKS, secured the fourth position, while Amriiz Raaz, rounding out the top five, also hailed from ILPKS.

The closing ceremony was graced by the presence of Puan Susan Clement, Political Secretary to the Premier of Sarawak. In her speech, Puan Susan emphasized the importance of TVET in the development of the state’s workforce and economy. She commended the participants for their dedication and skills, highlighting that events like the Sarawak TVET Carnival play a crucial role in nurturing young talents and preparing them for the future.

The success of the Sarawak TVET Carnival in Serian is a clear indicator of the growing emphasis on technical and vocational education in the region. As Sarawak continues to develop, such initiatives are crucial in ensuring that the local workforce remains skilled, competitive, and ready to face future challenges.

In conclusion, the Sarawak TVET Carnival was not just a competition but also a celebration of skill, innovation, and potential. The impressive performances by students from ILPKS and other TVET institutions have set a high benchmark for future events. With continued support from the government and the community, TVET in Sarawak is poised for greater achievements, driving the state towards a more prosperous and skilled future.
