Kuching, Sarawak – Every year on the 12th of Rabi’ al-awwal, Muslims worldwide celebrate the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday as a commemoration of the birth of the great prophet, Prophet Muhammad SAW. In the state of Sarawak, this celebration is held with great enthusiasm, featuring various activities and events, including a parade held at Merdeka Field, Kuching. This year, a very special participation has been recorded in the history of this parade, namely the first-ever participation of the Kota Samarahan Industrial Training Institute (ILPKS).

ILPKS, located in Kota Samarahan, Sarawak, sent a total of 80 participants to this parade. This participation consisted of 20 staff members and 60 students from the institution. Since its establishment, ILPKS has been dedicated to producing trained young generations in various industrial fields.

The state-level Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday celebration event became even more meaningful with the presence of the Sarawak State Governor and the Chief Minister of Sarawak.

This parade was not only attended by ILPKS but also by 246 other contingents representing various sectors and communities in Sarawak. In total, more than 10,000 participants were involved in this parade, making it a very festive and meaningful event.

ILPKS’s first-time participation in this parade is a step forward in supporting unity and solidarity in Sarawak’s society. It also reflects ILPKS’s commitment to producing graduates who are not only skilled in technical fields but also sensitive to religious and communal values. May this participation serve as a good beginning for ILPKS and further enhance the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday parade in the future in the state of Sarawak.
