On July 5, 2023, the Deputy Minister of Human Resources, YB. Ts. Mustapha Bin Sakmud, conducted a working visit to ILP Kota Samarahan. The purpose of the visit was to personally meet the staff and students of ILPKS and assess the infrastructure and training facilities available at the institute.

During the visit, the Deputy Minister delivered a special speech highlighting the importance of empowering Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs. He emphasized the need to produce high-quality graduates who possess the necessary skills to meet the demands of the workforce, particularly in the context of Industry 4.0 (IR 4.0).

The Fourth Industrial Revolution, or IR 4.0, refers to the current era of technological advancements, characterized by the integration of digital technologies into various aspects of industry and society. To adapt to this rapidly changing landscape, it is crucial to align TVET programs with the objectives of IR 4.0. This involves equipping students with the relevant skills and knowledge needed to thrive in industries driven by automation, artificial intelligence, and digitalization.

By emphasizing the importance of TVET and its role in producing skilled graduates, the Deputy Minister aimed to promote a workforce that is well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities presented by IR 4.0. This visit to ILP Kota Samarahan was part of the government’s efforts to ensure that TVET institutions are equipped to provide high-quality training and education to students, ultimately contributing to the nation’s overall human resource development.
